Chapter I-
A young boy sat on a hedge, Staring into the distance with many thoughts Racing through his head. He wanted to see the outside.....the other world that his ancestors spoke so much about. They are always saying that none of us would survive in the world. But He thought they were wrong, he thought he could. And someday he would. He would Travel over to the other world and show everyone wrong. But that would take time, the other Eclipse would happened one month away, and that would leave him just enough time to get ready. Standing up on the hill as the wind blew his Dark black cloak through the air he gripped his fist and looked into the distance. His Bow was hanging around his neck, and he had a pack of arrows on his left hip. Smiling, Was about to Turn around with something caught his attention.
In the woods down below, Ran a wild Buck, as it fled from a Hungry White wolf. “......” he stared at it for a second, then pulled out an arrow from his pack. With a small Grimace, he Strung it back and aimed for the deers head. “Steady.......steady........” he muttered, then a loud whistling noise was heard throughout the forest. The Arrow had been shot, and flew through the air with amazing speed. It gained more and more as it flew at the Buck, and within no time the arrow had pierced its neck, making it collapse to the ground, lifeless. Then he watched as the wolf grew nearer. He wasn’t about to let a wolf steal his food.....even if he did have a relative of theirs in his body. Whipping out another arrow he strung it quickly and leaped off the edge of the Cliff. His hair waved in the air as he fell and gathered speed. aiming with great precision he Let go of the arrow and it flew through the air, nailing the wolf between the eyes. And as the boy fell, he Strapped his bow to his back and prepared to land. The cliff was a good seven hundred drop, but the boy would not go so far down. Pulling out a small Knife, he wrapped a rope around the handle of it, then fought for himself to grow closer to the rocky wall before him. “...eh...” he muttered as he Stabbed the wall, and Fastened his hand around the rope. As he fell he Put his feet to the wall and began to slow himself down so he wouldn’t yank out the knife. As he slowed down he let go and pulled on the rope, stopping him in mid air.
“......that was close.” he sighed as he looked down at the ground....which was two feet from his body. Letting go he landed on his feet and looked around to find the Buck. Then he realized that he had fallen to far down and didn’t jump off to grow closer to the hill, and safely land on it so he could find the animals easier. As he stared into the distance, A fog slowly began to roll in, and The boy Began to walk to his destination. “Maxwell, What did you do this time?” he asked, Starring into the fog. The Boy, or Max, moved his hands back and forth to move the fog out of the way. As he did, he began to see the path more clearer. “....ah!!! I am getting closer.” he said, as the Hill began to come into view. “....huh....great. I have to climb that thing?” he asked himself, as he moaned and sighed with frustration. “Well, no where to go but up there.” Pulling the rope again, The knife fell right out of the crease it was wedged into. He looked up into the sky, waiting for the knife to come down. As it did, he saw it shining through the fog that had settled down earlier. Stepping to the side, he let the knife pierce into the ground. Bending down to grab it, he wrapped his hand around the handle and pulled tightly, making the knife shoot out from the ground. “.......” he sighed as he strapped the knife to his side and looked up the hill. Taking a couple of steps foreword he began to move his arms back and forth, making the fog get clearer in his area. As he walked the large cliff were the deer was began to come in view. “Hm.....that was quick.” he muttered. Walking up to it he looked up and stared into the sky, which he couldn’t see because of the fog. “Man.......this sucks.” he just couldn’t get over the fact he messed up and now had to pay the price by climbing up a large hill. Putting his hand on a rock he began to climb up the cliff. As he climbed he thought back of a similar event that had happened to him before, but his brother was with him. And that made the event easier to pass. Climbing alone was things he done often, being the one who hunted for his family. His big brother though....he had shared times with him that Max could never forget. Like the time that had come to his head while climbing.........
It was cold outside and A snowy storm was currently taking place...Max was freezing, and his young 11 year old body clung to the mountain side, dangling back and forth. “Uh.....brother...” He muttered as he raised one arm, and tried to grab onto another rock so that he could go farther up the hill. “Help....me.” his throat burned and at the same time Felt num from the coldness.....it stung t talk, and his fingers were covered in Gloves, but they still felt frozen. As he lifted his arm, he grabbed onto the other rock which was up above him, and pulled his body up. He heard his arms crack as he did and his face made a look of complete pain. “Bro-” he was cut off by another voice, one in the distance below him. It was warm with hope and belief. It said: “you can do it Max. I know you can.....” then a 14 year old boy climbed up beside him and smiled brightly. It was Max’s Brother, Galax. “Brother.....” muttered Max, as he moved his other arm up, and when he did he felt flat ground. “The top...” he once again muttered. Lifting his body up again he made it to the top and smiled. “Oh......my gosh it is....” his brother came up with a smile. And said: “Beautiful isn’t it.” but his smile faded away as soon as he looked a up. “No Galax....it isn’t! It is.......disgusting....HUH! MOM! DAD!!!” screamed Max, as he began to run foreword, but galax had grabbed him and stopped him.
Before them was a bloody scene, men and women and even children wer spread across the village, spears going through there bodies, arrows in there head and chest, and swords laying beside them. It was very bloody, and Max could not bear the thought of one of them being his mother and father.....but he would have to. As he broke from his brothers grasp they both ran to their house, and in the floor lay A man and woman.....both dead. Max’s father and Mother. Max fell down crying over them, and His Brother walked into the room, his hand formed into a fist. “No.....” they both muttered at the same time. Suddenly though, three men came into the room from the left door, two with swords and one with a spear. They smiled and licked there lips. Galax slowly walked in front of his brother, facing the people with weapons, as he held his head down. From his side he drew out a dagger and lifted his head, an evil grin on his face. “You...” he muttered. Max dove to the side and picked up a bow and drew back an arrow that was laying next to it. He had two tears coming down on his face as he shot the first bullet. All the lessons of Archery were going to pay off. The arrow zoomed by his brothers neck as max spoke. “Lets SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT!!!!!! How it feels!!!! now you can know!!!! you can know what my mom Felt!!!!” his arrow Pierced the man with a spear, and he fell over dead. His brother Charged foreword and blocked a blow from one man, then countered with a thrust, killing the man. Another arrow from behind Galax nailed the last man in the stomach, slowing him down, and giving Galax enough time to kill him with a single slash. “........dad.....mom......”
Then, Max, the seventeen year old boy felt the top of the hill. “Hm....everything is just going so quick today.” he sighed as he flung his body to the top of the hill. Looking down a steep drop he saw the deer and Wolf laying dead. “Hm......MAN! This is taking forever.” he shouted as he stared down the steep hill. Suddenly a Tiny pebble hit Max in the head. “What the heck?!” Max said as he looked up and saw a man with his sword drawn. He was perched on top of a small hill right above him, and had Bandit clothes on. He had a mask on that was made out of cloth, and it covered his mouth. The mans Blade was thin and curved, yet very wide. He spun it once then a man with the same clothing walked up beside him. He wielded an ax, but had a strange amulet on his side. It was strapped around his waist tightly, and it looked Sapphire, then Ruby, and then it was an emerald green color. “.....what.......who are you people??” he asked, Gripping in arrow from his patch, which was strapped to his side. The man smirked And Slide his foot foreword and pushed foreword, sliding down the short cliff and landing on Max’s left. Maxwell Quickly jumped to his right and drew his bow out, then pulled back an arrow. “Who are you.” he said calmly, as the other man with the ax was still on the cliff top.
“......A bandit.” the man said in a dark low crumbly voice. He raised his sword above his head and put this hand out in front of himself, holding the blade with one hand. “...hm.....” the man muttered as The man on the cliff nodded. “I am Pent.” The bandit with the sword said. “And that is Hawkeye.” Pent said, Spinning the blade then leaping foreword. “And who might you be?” he asked, slashing downward at the boy. Max leaped back and shot and arrow, making Pent jump back to his place. “.....” Hawkeye Did not speak, but Silently Threw his Ax with great speed. It hurled through the air at Max as he drew back another arrow. The noise of it spinning through the wind made Maxwell Realize it was coming. He quickly Turned his body to the side, barely dodging the Ax. “Hawkeye.” Pent spoke with a firm voice. “Go easy on our new guest.” he ordered. “Now tell me who you are!” Pent was growing un-patient, very un-patient.
